What's inside the cake
Dried fruit, glacé cherries, walnuts, butter, eggs, flour, sugar, brandy, sherry, cinnamon and mixed spice. Boiled-fruit method for extra moistness, baked low and slow with brandy, finished with brandy over the top, then wrapped and matured 2–4 weeks. One recipe, one generous ±2.1kg size (22–23cm) — serves 20+ thin slices. Contains gluten, egg, dairy, nuts and alcohol.
